The Friends of Adams Farm, as well as the people who use the Farm, owe a debt of gratitude to those who have given of their time, money, and passion to preserve the majestic setting of Adams Farm.
The MOMS Club of Walpole, a group of Walpole mothers of young children who enjoy spending time together and socializing with their children, recently donated a new picnic table to Adams Farm. It has been positioned just past the gate near the barn and pavilion for visitors who want to enjoy a picnic lunch at the Farm or hikers ready to relax after returning from an outing on the trails.
Gary Riggott, the chairman of the Trails Committee, brought together a volunteer crew of 25, both young and old, this fall to build two wooden boardwalks on the Blue Loop Trail. After many years of slogging through the muck on wet sections of this trail, hikers will now be able to skirt the wet areas on the trail using the elevated walkways running alongside the wet sections of the trail. Materials were purchased by the Friends of Adams Farm. |
